Schneider Electric has announced plans to establish three new manufacturing facilities in India, located in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmednagar. This strategic expansion underscores the company’s commitment to supporting India's rapid digitalization, sustainability, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
The announcement, made during an industry event, highlights Schneider Electric's ongoing investment in the Indian market. With 31 existing plants, the addition of these new facilities reinforces India's position as a key global hub for the company.
"India's dynamic focus on digitalization, sustainability, energy transition, and infrastructure modernization presents significant growth opportunities," stated a Schneider Electric spokesperson. "We are leveraging AI and digitization to accelerate progress in the Indian energy sector, believing that advanced technologies can substantially reduce emissions over the coming decades."
This expansion follows Schneider Electric's previously announced investment of Rs 3,200 crore to enhance its industrial presence in India, with plans to add approximately 1.2 million sq.ft. of manufacturing space by 2026. As the company's third-largest global market and a vital strategic hub, India remains central to Schneider Electric's growth strategy.
